Chevron Butterflyfish [Chaetodon trifascialis]
Description
Chevron Butterflyfish get their name from the distinctive zigzag pattern across their bodies, which stands out against coral and rocky backgrounds. Divers may spot them hovering near reef slopes, then darting in short bursts to inspect coral polyps and other small reef foods.
