Carrying Crab [Lybia tessellata]
Description
This small crab is famous for carrying a sea anemone on its back, using it as a living shield. Divers might notice it scuttling along sandy or rubble areas while the anemone’s tentacles sway, creating a striking moving “bundle” on its carapace. It’s a great example of a symbiotic partnership you can observe up close.
