Campanularia abyssa [Campanularia abyssa]
Description
Campanularia abyssa is a hydroid that divers may find as small, clustered colonies on rocks or other hard surfaces. Its feeding polyps often look like tiny cup-shaped structures, and in the right conditions you can see them extend and retract as they capture plankton from the water.
