Bowman’s shrimp [Periclimenes bowmani]
Description
Bowman’s shrimp is often found in association with specific invertebrate habitats, where it can blend in with the surrounding textures. Divers may see it stationed near the base or edges of its host, remaining still for long stretches before making quick movements. With careful observation, it can look like a tiny living ornament on the reef or seafloor.
