Bluestripe Pipefish [Doryrhamphus excisus]
Description
Divers often spot this pipefish hovering in calm water near reefs, where it uses its slender body to blend into the background. Look for its distinctive blue stripe as it slowly “hangs” in place, darting forward in quick bursts when something catches its attention.
