Astrostole scabra [Astrostole scabra]
Description
This species has a rough, scabby-looking texture that can make it stand out against smoother rock or sand. Divers may encounter it on reef slopes and rocky bottoms, sometimes near crevices where it can stay protected. With a slow, non-intrusive approach, you can often observe small changes in arm position as it forages.
