Annabella’s Goose Barnacle [Lepas (Nonfurcata) annabellae]
Description
This goose barnacle lives attached to floating objects, so divers typically encounter it drifting along with debris, buoys, or natural rafts at the surface. Underwater, you’ll see the barnacle’s stalk-like body and feathery feeding appendages extended to capture plankton as it filters food from the water.
