Aglaophenia fluxa [Aglaophenia fluxa]
Description
Divers often spot this hydroid as a delicate, branching “sea-fan” or lace-like growth attached to rocks, wrecks, or other hard substrate. In good light it can look feathery and translucent, with tiny polyps that give the colony a lively, textured appearance as currents sweep past.
