Aglaophenia digitulus [Aglaophenia digitulus]
Description
This species is known for its finger-like or twiggy branching growth, giving colonies a distinctive, textured look. Divers may spot it on rocks and man-made structures where currents bring food within reach. When polyps are extended, the colony can look slightly “alive” and shimmering, even though it’s easy to overlook at first glance.
