Aglaophenia crucialis [Aglaophenia crucialis]
Description
Divers often spot this hydroid as a delicate, branching colony that forms a lace-like structure on rocks, wrecks, or other hard substrates. In good light it can look crisp and feathery, with many tiny polyps giving the colony a subtly “alive” texture as currents flow past.
