Aglaophenia bakeri [Aglaophenia bakeri]
Description
Aglaophenia bakeri is a colonial hydrozoan that forms slender, upright or spreading branches, giving the impression of a miniature underwater shrub. Divers may see it in sheltered areas where currents bring food particles within reach of its polyps. Up close, the branching structure and small feeding tips make it a fascinating “micro-habitat” on the seafloor.
