Aglaophenia baggins [Aglaophenia baggins]
Description
Divers often spot this hydrozoan as a delicate, branching “sea-fan” of fine stems that can look almost like lace. It typically grows attached to rocks, wrecks, or other hard substrates, where its feathery form catches the current. With a little patience, you may notice tiny polyps along the branches that help it feed as water flows by.
