Aetobatus laticeps [Aetobatus laticeps]
Description
Aetobatus laticeps is a striking ray with a broad, flat body that can look almost prehistoric as it moves over sand and rubble. Underwater, divers may see it “walk” slowly along the bottom or hover while it forages, often blending in until it suddenly changes direction.
