Elysia yaeyamana [Elysia yaeyamana]
Description
This small, leaf-like sea slug can be surprisingly eye-catching despite its camouflage. Divers may see it resting on or moving across algae, where its shape and coloration help it disappear into the surrounding “green carpet.” If you watch closely, you’ll often catch its gentle, unhurried feeding behavior on algal surfaces.
