Description
Elysia verrucosa can look like a small, bumpy leaf—its surface often shows wart-like textures that catch the eye in macro views. Divers commonly encounter it on algae-covered rocks, where it grazes and remains well-camouflaged among the plants. If you slow down and look closely at the edges of algae patches, it can be surprisingly easy to spot.
