Ruffled Elysia [Elysia subornata]
Description
Divers may spot this small sea slug perched on algae-covered rocks, where it looks like a delicate, ruffled leaf. Its frilly edges and slow, deliberate movements make it easy to overlook at first—until you notice the subtle swaying as it feeds. In the right light, its leaf-like body can blend beautifully with the surrounding growth.
