Elysia singaporensis [Elysia singaporensis]

Description

This leaf-like sacoglossan is often found in areas rich with algae, where it can resemble a tiny piece of vegetation. Divers typically see it clinging close to the substrate, moving slowly and remaining remarkably still while it feeds. With careful observation, its flattened, leaf-shaped form stands out against the green and brown tones of the reef.
