Elysia mercieri [Elysia mercieri]
Description
Elysia mercieri is a leaf-like sea slug that can appear in areas with abundant algal growth. Underwater, divers may observe it resting in a relaxed, flattened posture and then slowly inching along as it feeds. Its understated look and close association with algae make it a great subject for patient, close-up searching.
