Elysia bengalensis [Elysia bengalensis]

Description

Divers may spot this small sea slug as a leaf-like, often pale green to yellowish “slug” clinging to algae or seaweed. Its striking coloration helps it blend into the plants it feeds on, and with patience you can sometimes see it slowly inch along the substrate. Like other Elysia, it’s known for its close relationship with the algae it consumes.
