Globose Guard Crab [Trapezia globosa]
Description
This guard crab is often found living among coral branches, where its compact body and reef-hugging behavior help it stay hidden. Divers may notice it as a small, alert presence on the coral, becoming more noticeable when it shifts position or reacts to nearby fish. It’s a great example of how tiny reef residents can play an outsized role in coral protection.
