Small-Spotted Wobbegong [Orectolobus parvimaculatus]
Description
As its name suggests, this species features small spots that can create a subtle, speckled camouflage against the seafloor. Divers may see it resting along rocky or reefy areas, where it uses stillness and patterning to avoid detection. If you’re lucky, it may briefly lift its attention toward you before settling back into its ambush posture.
