Blackspotted Electric Ray [Torpedo fuscomaculata]
Description
Often seen resting on sandy or muddy bottoms, this electric ray blends in with the substrate while its dark spots stand out against its body. Divers may notice it “hovering” just above the bottom or slowly gliding along the seafloor, using its broad fins to stay perfectly balanced.
