Torpedo adenensis [Torpedo adenensis]
Description
This torpedo ray is a master of camouflage, often resting on the seafloor where its body blends into the substrate. Divers might notice it only when it shifts slightly—then it can “wake up” with a subtle undulation of the fins. If approached carefully, you may see its electric-ray behavior: a calm, low profile with slow, deliberate movements rather than active swimming.
