Porous sponge-associated cleaner shrimp [Periclimenes poriphilus]

Description

As its name suggests, this shrimp is frequently associated with sponges, using their texture and structure for cover and feeding. Underwater, divers may find it tucked into sponge openings or along sponge surfaces, darting out briefly before settling back into its sheltered spot.
