Broad-snouted cleaner shrimp [Periclimenes platyrhynchus]
Description
Divers may spot this small shrimp hovering near reef structures, often staying close to sponges or other sheltered habitats. With its distinctive, slightly broader snout, it can look like a tiny “reef helper” as it picks around for food and cleans in the micro-habitats it frequents.
