Periclimenes parvus [Periclimenes parvus]

Description

As its name suggests, this is a very small shrimp that tends to stay close to reef cover, where it can feed and hide from predators. Divers might spot it as a brief flicker of motion near corals, sponges, or rocky overhangs. Patient scanning of shaded areas often pays off.
