Periclimenes obscurus [Periclimenes obscurus]
Description
Divers may spot this small shrimp hovering close to its host, often tucked into crevices or along the sheltering surfaces of reef invertebrates. It’s typically seen as a quick, darting flash of pale coloration when it shifts position, then settles again to blend into the busy microhabitat.
