Ancylomenes lucasi [Ancylomenes lucasi]
Description
This shrimp is commonly seen in protected reef microhabitats, where it stays close to the safety of its shelter. Divers sometimes spot it during slow swims, when it briefly peeks out and then retreats with quick, precise movements. It’s a great example of how reef life often hides in plain sight.
