Ancylomenes aesopius [Ancylomenes aesopius]
Description
This compact shrimp is typically found in close proximity to protective hosts, where it can take advantage of the shelter and food availability. Underwater, it may appear as a small, alert figure that periodically peeks out, then slips back into cover. Divers who look carefully around anemone-like structures or crevices may be rewarded with a brief glimpse of its activity.
