Lysmata porteri [Lysmata porteri]
Description
Lysmata porteri is often encountered on reefs where it acts as a cleaner shrimp. Divers might spot it near branching corals or along rocky bottoms, where it can be seen pausing in the open before retreating into cover. When fish linger nearby, this shrimp may become more active, taking advantage of the cleaning opportunities.
