Lysmata parvispinosus [Lysmata parvispinosus]
Description
Divers may spot this small cleaner shrimp tucked into reef crevices or hovering near sponges and rubble. With its distinctive, banded look and quick, darting movements, it often appears to “work” the area—lingering where fish come to check for cleaning. If you watch patiently, you might catch it picking at tiny particles and parasites on nearby hosts.
