Lysmata morelandi [Lysmata morelandi]
Description
This reef shrimp is typically found around rocky habitats, where it searches for food and uses cracks and overhangs for protection. Divers can sometimes see it slowly working the bottom before it flicks away to safety. With careful observation, it’s a charming example of how small reef cleaners contribute to the underwater “community” divers love to watch.
