Jeweled Anemone Hermit [Dardanus gemmatus]
Description
This striking hermit crab is famous for carrying an anemone on its shell, creating a living “jewel” display that divers can’t miss. The anemone’s tentacles can sway with the current, and when the crab moves, the whole partnership seems to glide across the substrate.
