Neopetrolisthes spinatus [Neopetrolisthes spinatus]

Description

This species of porcelain crab is typically found on reef structures and rocky habitats, where it can be easy to miss until it moves. Divers may notice its small size and distinctive, spiny-leaning look as it clings to the substrate. When approached, it often retreats quickly, then returns to its spot, making it a fun “spot-and-watch” critter for macro-focused dives.
