Neopetrolisthes alobatus [Neopetrolisthes alobatus]
Description
Neopetrolisthes alobatus is a small, delicate-looking porcelain crab that tends to blend into its surroundings on rocky reefs. Divers may spot it perched on surfaces—often near crevices—where it uses quick movements to investigate the water around it. If you watch closely, you’ll see it dart out briefly and then settle again, as if testing the currents for food.
