California Lobster [Panulirus interruptus]
Description
A favorite for many divers, the California lobster is often encountered near rocky reefs, where it uses its claws and spines to defend itself. Divers may see it tucked under overhangs or moving along the bottom, and if it feels threatened, it can quickly retreat into its shelter.
