Giant Sleepy Shark [Nebrius ferrugineus]

Giant Sleepy Shark
Description

Often seen resting near the seafloor, this shark can look surprisingly calm and unhurried as it “sleeps” in place. Divers may spot it hovering just above the bottom or tucked into sandy or rocky areas, using its broad mouth to feed when the timing is right.
