Thorny Seahorse [Hippocampus histrix]
Description
With its bumpy, thorn-like skin and upright posture, the Thorny Seahorse is a master of camouflage among seagrass and reef rubble. Divers may spot it tucked into the nooks of coral or holdfasts, where it sways gently with the current and looks almost sculpted from the habitat itself.
