Hemiscyllium halmahera [Hemiscyllium halmahera]
Description
Often called a bamboo shark, this small reef shark is a calm, bottom-dweller that divers may spot resting in sandy or rubble patches. Look for its patterned body as it slowly patrols near crevices, sometimes peering out from the shadows of the reef.
