Papuan Epaulette Shark [Hemiscyllium hallstromi]
Description
Papuan epaulette sharks are famous for their bold, “epaulette-like” markings and their habit of staying close to the reef floor. Divers may encounter them resting in shallow, rocky habitats or slowly gliding along the bottom, sometimes appearing to watch you as you pass.
