Pteraster trigonodon [Pteraster trigonodon]
Description
This species is a small-to-medium starfish that can look like a rugged, many-armed “rock ornament” once you get close. Underwater, divers often notice it by its distinctive arm shape and the way it holds tight to the seafloor, especially in areas with hard substrate and good current.
