Aglaophenia meganema [Aglaophenia meganema]
Description
Divers often notice this hydroid as a delicate, branching colony that can look like a soft, lacy net anchored to rocks, wrecks, or other hard substrates. Its feeding polyps extend and retract, giving the colony a subtly “alive” look as tiny structures sway with the current.
