Aglaophenia lateseptata [Aglaophenia lateseptata]

Description

Divers may spot this hydroid as delicate, branching colonies that often look like fine lace or feathery twigs attached to rocks, wrecks, or other hard surfaces. In good light, the colony’s structure becomes more obvious as its many small branches spread outward, creating a subtle underwater “net” of life.
