Aglaophenia integriseptata [Aglaophenia integriseptata]
Description
This hydroid grows as branching colonies that can blend into the background until you get close. Divers may notice the colony’s fine architecture—thin stems with small polyp-bearing branches that create a delicate, feathery silhouette. In the right light and current, the polyps become easier to pick out, revealing a living filter-feeder at work.
