Campanularia pecten [Campanularia pecten]
Description
Divers may spot this delicate hydroid as a small, branching colony that looks like a tidy lacework on rocks, shells, or seaweed. Tiny cup-like polyps line the branches, giving the colony a subtle “comb” or “fan” appearance. With a little patience, you can often see the polyps subtly extend and retract as water flow changes.
