Ramified Fire Coral [Millepora dichotoma]
Description
Ramified fire coral forms branching, tree-like colonies that can look surprisingly delicate—until you get close. Divers often spot it on rocky slopes and reef edges, where its pale to tan branches are dotted with tiny openings. Like other fire corals, it can sting if touched, so it’s best admired from a safe distance.
