Tubularia amoyensis [Tubularia amoyensis]
Description
Divers may spot this tubular hydroid as delicate, branching colonies that look like tiny, upright “stems” rising from a rocky or hard substrate. When water movement brings food, the polyps extend, giving the colony a lively, feathery appearance that can be surprisingly eye-catching in otherwise quiet areas.
