Hemprich’s organ pipe coral [Tubipora hemprichi]
Description
Hemprich’s organ pipe coral forms a vivid, tubular network that can look like a red or pink set of pipes rising from the substrate. Divers may see the tubes packed closely together, creating a textured, almost carpet-like reef feature. With good light, the coral’s surface can glow, and polyps may be visible as tiny openings along the tubes.
