Eunicella palma [Eunicella palma]
Description
Divers often spot this fan-shaped gorgonian as a branching, palm-like structure rising from the seabed. In clear water, its delicate polyps can look like tiny dots along the branches, and the whole colony sways gently with the current. It’s a great species to watch for small fish and invertebrates that use the structure for shelter.
