Eunicella lata [Eunicella lata]
Description
Eunicella lata forms broader, more robust-looking branches compared with some other gorgonians, giving it a fuller, denser silhouette. Divers may find it on rocky substrates where it can catch current and extend its polyps to feed. When you swim past slowly, the colony’s texture and branching pattern become much more apparent.
